    - To reflect on your own parenting principles and practices so you can make more conscious choices in your parenting
    - To help you better understand the roots of challenging behaviour and why punishment and reward systems exacerbate problems
    - To help you identify some guiding principles that are applicable to any situation and which support long term, sustainable, behaviour change
    - To find relational ways of interacting with your children so that everyone feels like a winner

    Requirements
    - You should be a parent or a prospective parent!

    Description
Connect Relate Grow Parenting is for parents with children of any age. Learn principles for parenting that can be applied in any situation to support children to feel loved, significant and capable.

Learn how to set explain and set boundaries and support children to learn from mistakes at the same time as making sure they feel loved and supported. Understand how punishment and reward systems can make problems worse.

Develop some practical skills tools and strategies to address 'in the moment' challenges as well as reducing the occurance of negative behaviour over the long term. The CRG approach enables everyone - parents and children to feel like a winner.

I have drawn on the work and writing of respected theorists like Bowlby and Adler and the writing of Alfie Kohn among others for my practical work in the classroom, with counselling clients and in relating with my own family as well as in compiling this course.

There are focused reflection and journalling exercises throughout the course so parents can immediately relate the material to their own circumstances.

Working with another parent through the course will enhance your experience as sharing reflections and perspectives is always enriching and will only expand your toolbox.

    Who this course is for:
    - Parents who have children any age from 0 to 90; Parents who are facing challenging behaviour in their children; Parents who feel they are doing ok but things could be better; Parents or potential parents who are interested in learning a most effective approach to parenting.
