Humanitarian and ecological crisis in eastern Ukraine since 2014

The book describes the historical background of the conflict in eastern Ukraine up to 2020 and analyzes the roles of the various actors and groups involved in the conflict. DIME analysis (which examines diplomacy, information, military, and economy) is used for the following actors: Ukraine, Russia, People's Republics of Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR), European Union, and United States. Further, conflict analysis, describing goals and interests and methods and tools, is used for the following organizations: United Nations, European Union, Normandy Format, and the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine. Following the analysis, the humanitarian situation is examined, and then elaborated on in discussions of liberty and security, pensions, healthcare, education system, birth registrations and civil documentation, religion, economy, and ecological hazards and threats.
