Description
This course has been designed for all levels of general and special educators as well as school administrators; to guide them in effectively designing their lessons to meet the learning needs of individuals in their classrooms through the knowledge of daily classroom practices, multiple learning styles and theories of intelligences, Maslow's hierarchy of needs and structured literacy components. To help them understand the 'practice' of inclusion in classrooms. The course takes a structured approach in educating the teacher who is faced with challenges of creating better learning outcomes for his/her learners.Practicing special educators will learn key areas to efficiently assess a child for special education programs; General educators will in turn understand 'child find'.Educators in general will understand and apply evidence-based strategies on how to deal with challenging behaviors students display when faced with learning materials.Educators will understand how to effectively engage learners with short attention span and hyperactivity.Literacy skills are basic when it comes to learning; it is essential for learning across board. Educators will  also learn effective Strategies for implementing core literacy instruction and planning lessons in an inclusive classroom.This course consists of tasks and quizzes for knowledge application.A certificate of completion is available to participants who complete this course.
