    Nutrition is needed to assist the living organisms to grow, maintain themselves and to reproduce. Nutrition can be obtained from foods, drinks and supplements. These will be used to provide essential nutrients in order to support a life. It is important to have a basic common knowledge about nutrition. Good nutrition helps an individual to include a balanced diet to fuel the body and function at an optimal rate.From this course, students can learn the importance of nutrition in their daily life and how to plan a healthy food consumption to be fit and healthy. They can also educate the upcoming generations about nutrition-related issues and together create a healthy and balanced community.This course is mainly to get a glimpse into the basic nutrition concept. There are four main objectives that can be achieved on this course. The first one is to know the concept of the overall nutrition field, and it includes the basic terms and definitions used in the nutrition field. Then, students will learn the main components of food, including macronutrients and micronutrients, followed by the functions of each food component. Lastly, students will learn the healthy diet for an adult with the recommended nutrient intake.It will be a fun and exciting course to learn. Students just need to spend their time and give attention to the topics discussed. At the end, students will gain the basic knowledge of nutrition.
