I’m Dr. Emilie Socash, and I'm here to introduce you to a better way–a more courageous and customized way–to consider how self-care can support your life. In the "Courageous Self-Care Starter Kit" course, you’re going to learn what most people don’t teach about self-care—that it’s not just about quick fixes or indulgences, and it definitely doesn't need to follow trends or be Instagram-worthy. True self-care works best when done courageously, with tremendous self-compassion, and in a way that builds up your personal capacity (or ability) to make time for what matters most. In this course, you’ll develop essential knowledge and skills to build the habit of self-care in a way that supports your real life.This course is perfect for anyone who’s needing a little more balance (and boundaries), feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, or just plain off-kilter, or perhaps just looking for a new take on their existing self-care routines. Most people only have a handful of go-to methods when they’re trying to reset and recharge—like deep breathing, bubble baths, or a quick dose of sunshine. While these are great, you'll find that in just the first few lessons of this course, you’ll discover the critical distinctions between the self-care we see and hear about, and the self-care that truly nurtures your soul.By the end of this course, you’ll have built a self-care plan you can actually stick to, one that includes 30 days of intentional actions to support your emotional, physical, and mental well-being, and builds the habit of self-care so that you can go beyond this plan to develop a new way of living mindfully.In the first part of the course, we’ll explore the fundamentals of courage. After a brief exploration of the psychology behind our important relationships (including that of our future self), you’ll put together a personalized, sustainable plan that integrates these techniques into your daily life—without adding more pressure.Courage and self-care go hand-in-hand.
