Description
This course presents the knowledge and skills required for contract drafting, analysis, and strategy in an international setting. The objectives of this course are for each student to:- Develop how to select and use contract templates to his/her advantage. - Demonstrate proficiency in evaluating, challenging, negotiating, and revising various types of contracts. - Draft contracts and clauses precisely, comprehensibly, and in an easy-to-follow manner. - Adapt drafting style based on the client's requirements and the parties' relationship. - Draft to cover the needs and concerns of his/her client. - Draft effectively by asking the right questions and anticipating potential practical problems.The course consists of smart video lectures and in-depth articles, and at the end of the course, the student will be asked to draft a contract from scratch and peruse another draft contract for assessment purposes.Generally, the course aims to prepare participants to engage in English drafting of international agreements confidently. It addresses the three stages that lead to the drafting of the contract: the preliminary stage of communication between the parties, the negotiation stage of the contract, and the final drafting of the contract’s terms. Finally, the course is concluded with a master class assessment whereby participants can fully apply the knowledge acquired and the skills developed and receive feedback from the instructor.
