If I told you to think of a car - you can do it. if you tell yourself to think of a car - you do it. Using this concept we can guide ourselves and have control of our thoughts, reactions and feelings.Let's try another example. Focus on something that makes you feel sad… Spend some time with those thoughts and see how you feel inside. Note how your body responds. See what tenses and what relaxes. Is your breath short or long? Do you feel tired or energized? Use this same concept on these scenarios:Think of something that makes you angryNow something that makes you happyPay attention to your breathing, your energy levels and the tension in your body during each. Also note how you were able to guide yourself to feeling these emotions and similarly; how you could change from the one to the other with very little guidance. This is how you start to be aware of your control over your emotions.Now it isn't always easy to pull yourself out of a negative spiral, trying and failing is better than not trying at all.This course is going to teach you thought control techniques, regulating yourself with affirmations and tapping.
