Description
After completion of the program students will have the knowledge and skills to: Understand the qick chaninging world of VUCA, the need to be agile and adaptable. They will be aware of the difference between Management and Leadership as well the need for both in organizations. The role of Middle Managers in organizations will be clear.Students will realize they have to be competent in Leading the organization, Laeading people and Leading self. There will also be two sections, one focusing on building an attractive Employee Value Propositions (EVP)and effective leadership competenciesIn section two students will learn important technical competencies to lead the organization, including Effective Planning, Decison making, where they will become comfortable in using certain tools and techniques to help with decision making, including the process of prioritizing, Cause and Effect Diagram and Force fFeld analyzes. They will be competent in knowing the process for effective executing. managing productivity and performance. They will be able to set SMART objectives and measurement criteria. Giving constructive and regular feedback will be stressed.In section three students will become competent in Leading people, the essence of Management and Leadership, to achieve results through people. Competencies learned will include, the process of building high performance teams, constructive manageing conflict, steps in how to empower employees, taking into account the requirements of capbility and willingness and steps to build trust relationships. They will also have the knowledge and skills to ensure proper communication and interpersonal skills.In section 4, students will become competent in developing an effective Employee value Proposition to Motivate and make sure emplyees are engaged. Engaged employees are more productive and 87% less inclined to leave the organization.
