Description
Montessori is an educational approach created by Dr. Maria Montessori. Her emphasis on independence, self-directed learning, and respect for individuality has inspired educators worldwide to rethink traditional approaches to education and to create learning environments that foster autonomy, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.Resent research has proven that the method is also applicable when working with seniors and and dementia patients. Montessori materials and the environment can be both adapted to each individual and help with their cognitive abilities. subjects like practical life, and sensorial can help with dementia and aging symptoms and promote their independence in a way that their overall quality of life highly improves. Montesenior started when I found myself caring for my mother and homeschooling my daughter with my Montessori materials. I used this materials as a way to entertain her since she was in bed all day. I quickly notice an increase how this work improved her cognitive abilities, independence and even mood. Since then I decided to dedicate my life to use the Montessori Method and help seniors and Dementia patients.
