Description
Muay Thai, or Thai boxing (national sport in Thailand) is an art of efficiency, fluidity but also speed and power. Fists, elbows, knees and feet are used.Muay Thai developed over centuries from traditional Thai martial arts. When weapons became useless, the warrior used his fists, elbows, and legs to fight.Stylistically striking features of Muay Thai are the elbow and knee techniques as well as clinching. A characteristic technique is the kick with the shin, usually aimed at the thigh, rib area or head. Depending on the regulations and the professional level of the fighter, knee kicks to the head may be allowed. The opponent's head may be pulled towards the ground with the fists. In clinching, opponents stand up, try to throw themselves off balance, and kick their opponent's torso or thighs with their knees.Alexander NGOM-PRISO presents the basics of this formidable art of fighting. He will detail a comprehensive and detailed technical program: Shadow Techniques, kicks (Low-kick, Middle-kick, Hight-kick, Front-kick), knee strikes, elbow strikes, punches (direct, uppercut, hook), defense techniques, blocks, hand-to-hand work, sequences, strength and speed work with pao and mitts…Alexandre NGOM-PRISO:4 times Amateur World Champion, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010 Semi-pro World Runner-up, 2011 France Champion, 1998 France Runner-up, 1999In this course you will learn all the basic techniques of Muay Thai from a 4-times world champion.
