Description
In this short course, we will be drafting a standard simple bodice block without darts and a sleeve block from scratch using CLO3D software that can be used for both female and male designs. These base patterns are necessary to start creating your own modifications and designs on the pattern. Take a look at the other pattern drafting courses from FIA as well! We also have a fitted bodice course and a course for skirts and pants coming soon! The course will start with a basic lecture about pattern making, body types and how to take measurements. Also, a few videos of learning the main navigation and tools of CLO3D are included in the course which can be skipped if you already have the basics of CLO3D. But do not worry, no steps are skipped in the videos and all tools that are used are explicitly explained on the go. All instructions are also included as course materials so it is easier to follow and iterate the process later on with your measurements. Additionally, a table for body measurements is included as course materials together with the lecture slides. IMPORTANT! You can also follow the same steps when drawing your pattern on paper. You can also do both, check the fit in the real-life pattern and then make necessary changes in CLO. You can later reiterate the process with your measurements. No former fashion or CLO3D experience is needed.
