Get the practice you need, so you can choose which verb tense to use and communicate easily.

Many courses give you the information you need to understand the English verb tenses, but they don't give you the practice you need that allows you to apply what you have learned. When you find yourself in speaking situations that require you to use English, it is easy to forget what you have learned because you haven't practiced enough. When this happens, you go back to using English the same way you did before, and your English skills do not get better.

This course aims to help you develop the skills you need to become more fluent in the use of all verb tenses through practice. Along with a presentation of each verb tense, there are role plays that develop your speaking skills and quizzes to test your understanding of when and how to use each verb tense. It is through the application of new skills that you become more fluent in English. With practice, you will be able to quickly use any verb tense with ease.

Verbs are used in every sentence. Knowing when and how to use the verb tenses is one of the most important aspects of English grammar. When you have mastered this, you will be on your way to English fluency.

Content and Overview

There are three sections for present, past, and future tenses. Within each section, the lessons follow this format:

Presentation of the verb tense – These lessons are the longest and explain when the verb tense is used along with example sentences, a timeline which illustrates the use, and formulas for constructing positive and negative sentences as well as questions. Only the active voice is used in the presentations.

Quiz – These quizzes allow you to pause the video and complete the sentences using the appropriate verb tense. When you resume playing the video, the answers are provided.

Role Play – These lessons allow you to practice speaking while focusing on one specific verb tense. Your instructor reads one of the parts while you read the other. Then the roles are switched, so you get to practice with all of the dialogue.

How to properly use the verb tenses in everyday conversation can be one of the most confusing aspects of learning English. Upon completion of this course, you will have gained the necessary knowledge and skills which will enable you to use the verb tenses confidently.
