    Description
Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie Blomquist and I am a published author of two poetry books. I am working on my third. As such I hope that I might be able to share some of my knowlege with you. During this process, I too have learned much and I have really enjoyed making these videos and writing these poems. Most of them I wrote while creating each lesson. Join me in discovering the following 13 types of poems. We work on a new one in each lesson. The 13 poems we will cover are Limericks, Sonnets, Haikus, Odes, Elegies, Ballads, Acrostic, Villanelle, Free Verse, Sestinas, Pentoums, Zappai, and Univocalic. I have provided examples of each. You can see my successes and my mistakes. Poetry isn't always a perfect science. I hope this course is fun and educational and provides clear enough instruction so that you two can make a portfolio of these 13 types of poems to share with your friends and family, and who knows, maybe you too can write some books someday if you haven't already done so. We all bring knowledge and skills to the table. It is my hope that this class will help you hone your own skills and add to your knowledge. I'd love comments and feedback to help me hone mine! Take care!

    Who this course is for:
    - People curious about writing poetry, new or experienced, looking to learn about different types of poetry.
