Description
The aim of course is to teach you the very basics of the Russian language - Russian sounds and letters and the relationship between them. You will learn to read in Russian and improve your pronunciation. The course is the foundation you need in order to successfully learn the other parts of the Russian language, namely vocabulary and grammar. You can take this course if you speak zero Russian or if you can speak, but you think you pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired.

The course is devided into two sections

Theory section, which explains how the letters and sounds are pronounced and which letters represent which sounds. In this section I compare Russian and English sounds and explain the difference between them.

Practice section, in which we do repeat-after-me exercises. The aim of this section is to practice what we've learned in the theory section. To get the most value from the course, you will need to do the exercises on a daily basis until you can say the practice words easily and you can't hear much difference between my pronunciation and yours.

During and after studying the course you can send me your audio recordings with you reading the words in the practice videos. That way you can get feedback on how accurate and comprehensible your Russian pronunciation is. (send me them at tim.tutor@mail.ru)
