Description
Resonance & Resonance Effect in a Series Resonant circuit, calculation of the resonant frequency. The characteristic of Xc and Xl at Resonance. What is tuning. Al explains the resonance frequency equation for the correct solution . Calculation of current in a Series resonant Circuit. Voltage across resonant components. R C low pass & R L Low filters for Cut off frequency (fc) & phase Angle. Al explains R C High pass & R L High pass filters for Cut off frequency (fc) & phase Angle. What is Resonance of a Circuit ?the condition in which an electric circuit or device produces the largest possible response to an applied oscillating signal, especially when its inductive and its capacitive reactance's are balanced. What is Q of a Resonance Circuit. The Q, quality factor, of a resonant circuit is a measure of the "goodness" or quality of a resonant circuit. A higher value for this figure of merit corresponds to a more narrow bandwidth, which is desirable in many applications. More formally, Q is the ratio of power stored to power dissipated in the circuit reactance and resistance, respectively. Resonance Circuits are used in AM/FM radios to select the the desired station/channel. Resonance Circuits are also used to block or prevent a group or single signal from propagating.
