The AWS Certified Developer - Associate credential is intended for those in a development role with one or more years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining an AWS-based application. But preparation can be a challenge. The exam casts a broad net—dozens of services are in play—and it can be difficult to develop both the breadth and depth of knowledge across so many services in the course of normal AWS development.

Make sure you don’t have a weak spot in your topic coverage. Join expert Bill Boulden for a journey through the exam’s must-know topic areas to ensure that you’re aware of all the services you’ll likely encounter.

What you’ll learn and how you can apply it

By the end of this course, you’ll understand:

  • Test-taking specifics and essentials (exam-day guidelines)
  • Common AWS development idioms that recur on the exam
  • The AWS Code* Suite services (CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, and CodeStar) and how exam questions often feel they should be utilized
  • Proper use cases for DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and ElastiCache
  • Common authentication idioms

And you’ll be able to:

  • Create a CodeStar repository and deploy the sample application
  • Identify gaps in your AWS knowledge
  • You work with AWS applications.
  • You’re preparing for the AWS Certified Developer - Associate exam.

Prerequisites

  • Experience working on AWS applications
  • An AWS account that you’ll be able to configure a CodeStar project in
