    Un essai consacré à la valeur universelle de la règle sportive. Selon l'auteur, la promotion de l'inégalité physique peut être proposée universellement mais n'a pas de valeur morale universelle.

    « La règle sportive peut-elle être universalisable ? Elle peut l'être, certainement, en ce qu'elle peut valoir en tout lieu. En revanche, elle ne l'est sans doute pas au sens moral du terme. Peut-on universaliser comme élément moral "plus vite, plus haut, plus fort" et que le plus fort l'emporte selon la maxime "Que le meilleur gagne !" »

    Pour Axel Kahn, le sport est un terrain d'ombre et de lumière.
