Masahiro Chatani, "Pattern Sheets of Origamic Architecture, Vol. 2"
    English | 1986 | ISBN: 4395270166 | PDF (Scan) | pages: 42 | 4.7 mb

Masahiro Chatani was a Japanese architect and professor of Architecture at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He was considered to be the creator of origamic architecture and, from its development in the early 1980's until his death in 2008, he was widely acknowledged to be the world’s foremost origamic architect. Origamic Architecture is a variation of kirigami, itself a variation of origami where cuts are allowed, where you only need an X-acto knife and a ruler to create complex 3-dimensional structures out of a single sheet of paper. Origamic Architecture sculptures range from relatively simple geometric patterns to more complex building facades. This book includes patterns for 30 different designs of varying complexity. General construction and assembly instructions and helpful tips, along with black and white photographs, are in the first section of the book preceding the patterns.
