The Secrets of Morgarten: A Medieval Mystery with Legends of the Knights Templar and William Tell

A young nation in peril. A web of deception. A triangle of forbidden love.
As the Habsburgs threaten to take back control of the fledgling nation of the Confederation Helvetica in 1315, the people are looking for ways to defend their borders. Magda, living in a hamlet near Morgarten, meets handsome Walter, the son of the notorious Wilhelm Tell, who delivers messages to all corners of the nation that will later become Switzerland.

In France, the Knights Templar have been declared heretics by the King. Sébastien arrives in Morgarten as a fugitive, carrying hidden secrets with two of his colleagues, and Magda’s romantic feelings are thrown into turmoil.

When a monk is murdered at a nearby abbey during the theft of a precious religious relic, Walter and Magda set about to solve the mystery, before a mighty battle with the Habsburgs ensues. How can a handful of peasants in this isolated corner of the Confederation defend themselves against the mighty Austrian army? And who will be the victors in this turbulent triangle of love?

A beautiful weaver, the discerning son of the notorious William Tell and a fugitive Templar knight meet in this tale of allegiance, mystery, romance and perhaps a little medieval magic, set in the magnificent but menacing Alps in the fourteenth century.
