Drawing a self-portrait can help you improve as an artist, build up your manual dexterity and muscle memory.
In this course, you will learn how to create a cartoon self portrait using the software Clip Studio Paint. The course starts with an introduction to drawing techniques and how to download and use Clip Studio Paint. You will then learn about the various tools available in the software, including how to build a warm-up routine to improve their skills.
You will then draw different facial features, such as eyes, nose, ears, and mouth, as well as how to draw hair and clothing. Students will also learn about mixing colours, painting flat colours, and rendering or shading their portrait. The final project will be for students to create their own self-portrait using the skills and techniques learned throughout the course. By the end of this course, students will have gained confidence in their drawing abilities and have a completed cartoon self portrait to show for it.
