The 200: Inspiring Motorhome Destinations Across Europe & North Africa by Jason Buckley

The 200 is the perfect gift for the motorhome owner in your life. Designed to fuel their wanderlust (or entertain from the comfort of an armchair) it showcases 200 locations spread right across Europe and North Africa. From the rugged North Cape in Norway to the rolling dunes at Erg Chebbi in the Moroccan desert, The 200 unveils the huge range of stopovers available on a free-ranging motorhome tour.

There's an incredible world on our doorsteps folks. Majestic landscapes with snow-capped mountains, mighty rivers, towering fjords and flowing dunes. World-class museums and galleries. Pristine beaches with gin-clear snorkelling waters or raging rollers. Imagination-firing medieval villages and gleaming modern cities. Mouth-watering authentic restaurants. Top-notch wines, sampled besides the vineyards.

All of it's easy to experience in your motorhome or camper van.

We know, we've been lucky enough to be there. Over the course of a decade we've stayed in over 1,000 places across the UK, Europe and North Africa, travelling tens of thousands of miles in our camper van and motorhomes.

The 200 describes two hundred of our favourite places to stay, spread across 34 countries and two continents. From campsites and aires, to vineyards, farms and wild camping locations, we've selected a range of overnight stopovers to suit every taste, style and budget.

For each location we've provided two of the best nearby places to sleep in your motorhome, with an idea of costs followed by a description of the nearby attractions and places of interest. We've summarised each country from a motorhome-perspective, outlining the opportunities for overnight stays, how possible wild camping is, how the toll roads work, and what equipment is legally required to drive there.

Of course you'll want to choose your own itinerary, so we've also provided practical hints and tips for finding your own top-notch places to visit. We've listed out the best books, apps and websites to find the next memorable stop-off on your travels.

Before we first set out for Calais all those years ago, nervous and excited, we'd no idea what lay before us. We couldn't imagine what an incredible world we were just about to encounter. We couldn't guess it would be so easy to visit magnificent capital cities like Paris, Berlin, Athens and Rome in our motorhome. Or that we'd be turned into kids again at the miniaturised model world of Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. Or how we'd find ourselves failing to take a naked smoke sauna in Finland, or huffing and puffing our way up the towering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi in Morocco.

And all of it with our motorhome parked up close by. Ready for us to take refuge when we needed a rest, and ready to take us on to our next adventure. The perfect way to travel.

Happy travels folks, Jason and Julie Buckley
