Solutions to selected math Olympiad problems that requireunconventional thinking and inventiveness will be demonstrated utilizing complex thoughtexperiments with clarity and precision in a relatable and inspirational manner. Major conceptsand principles such as the Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, Pigeonhole (or Dirichlet)Principle, Mathematical Induction, Invariance, Equivalence Relation, Combinatorial Principleswill be explained in the context of unconventional thinking. Instead of utilized facts, they will beabsorbed to become an inseparable part of mathematical intuition. The course is open for middleand high school students, mathematics teachers, undergraduate and graduate students in STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) disciplines, and STEM professionals fromaround the world who want to hone their mathematical thinking and problem-solving ability. Thecourse will primarily help middle & high school and college students to sharpen their skills forcompetitive math competitions like American Mathematical Contest (AMC), MATHCOUNTS,American Invitational Math Examination (AIME), USA Math Olympiad (USAMO), nationaland regional math Olympiads worldwide, International Math Olympiad (IMO) or Putnam Competition. In abroader context, the course will help professionals to enhance problem-solving skills byexpanding and sharpening mathematical and logical thinking abilities.
