"The DJ Shadow Remix Project began as an experiment to see if we could engage and empower the online remixing community. Initially, Mike (Fiebach, of DJShadow.com) and I figured we’d award a prize through the site, stream a few winning mixes, and leave it at that. Eighty or so submissions later, I started thinking…. 'Hmm, maybe we should open this up a little.'

Papetti became well known for all the 1960s and 1970s, and all his new album reaches the top of the hit parade; he was also printed in all the Latin American market. During the period of greatest splendour, the 1970s, Papetti also produced two collections a year, the best-selling being the 20th one, which came up first in 1975.
These records are also characterized for the sexy covers on which girls posed indecently. He became a real father of that musical kind, and in the 1970s many imitators appeared, like Johnny Sax or Piergiorgio Farina.

In April 2006, Arturo Sandoval opened a jazz venue in Miami Beach, The Arturo Sandoval Jazz Club. Since opening its doors, the club featured both top-notch headlining jazz acts as well as local talent on stage. Open six nights a week for live music, past acts included Joshua Redman, Roberta Flack, Roy Haynes, Omar Sosa, The Bad Plus, Moe Goldstein, Michael Lington and Danilo Perez. Sandoval himself played at the club at least monthly. It was closed in 2008.
