"Lot Lorien" is the third album released by the band. The album started as a project with friends and turned into album with many guest appearances. Recording it was a big challenge for the band, as it was the first test for their newly equipped home studio, but the album was successfully recorded and mixed. As the previous releases, the music and some of the lyrics were written by Kiril Georgiev, and the arrangements were done by the band. "Live in Ohrid" features the great bulgarian kaval player Theodosii Spassov (famous worldwide as both folklore and jazz musician, using great number of interesting instruments and playing techniques). In the summer of 2003, Lot Lorien were invited to play at "Balkan Square Festival" in Ohrid/Republic of Macedonia. This was the first collaboration with Theodosii Spassov and it was very successful. As the show was recorded, the members of Lot Lorien found out that the recording has great sound and atmosphere and they decided to release few songs from it…so this live album was released. "Live in Ohrid" contains 7 compositions from Lot Lorien's first album "Eastern wind" and also the song "Captain Petko voivoda" - based on old bulgarian folklore song and containing some new ideas, written by Kiril Georgiev-composer and guitar player of the band. "Eastern wind" is the first album by Lot Lorien. It was recorded with analog equipment in Balkanton - one of the old bulgarian studios, equiped with good old style expensive analog equipment - multitrack tape recorders, mixers, tube microphones and amplifiers, etc. The recording was made live in the studio - all instruments were played/recorded together, except vocals and additional overdubbed violins, guitars and percussions.
