Worriedaboutsatan is the electronica/post-rock project of Gavin Miller, based in Bradford, UK. "Crystalline" is Worriedaboutsatan’s sixth full-length album. Crystalline’s dreamy soundscapes take the listener on an immersive journey, showcasing the brilliant trademark sound of the very first worriedaboutsatan releases. worriedaboutsatan skillfully blends together haunting guitar melodies, warm pads, deep bass lines, hypnotic beats, minimal electronic elements and distant indistinct vocals, provided by Sophie Green of Her Name Is Calla, resulting in an emotive album that balances between post-rock, ambient and electronica.

Brock Van Wey, aka bvdub, is undoubtedly among the greatest and most prolific artists in the world, whose music directly affects the heart, soul, and human mind. His soundscapes spread in the air as if they were delicate and slow movements of the northern lights, or the wind that blows on the flowers of the trees in spring. There is something divine in bvdub's music, and Glacial Movements is more than honored to welcome another great work for the world, Ten Times the World Lied, his fifth album on the Roman label, as he nears forty overall. Ten tracks impossible to describe in words, but which will breach the heart of all those who lose themselves in this sonic wonder…

This LP fuses two massive talents, for the first time to Athens Of The North we introduce House and Techno legend Linkwood, joining him is one of the UKs most respected Jazz Artists Greg Foat, who will need no introduction to Athens Of The North fans. ‘Linkwood & Foat’ is the first LP to be recorded in the new ’Athens of the North Studio’, which was designed and built specifically for our artists so that they can create without the time pressures or expenses of studio hire elsewhere. With no fixed plans, no rules or expectations, the pair relaxed in the new studio and started making music. The result is very special indeed. Linkwood had just returned from walking in the wilds of an Ibiza summer and Greg had similarly been immersed on the sun drenched south coast of the Isle of wight…

Genre: Ambient | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Faraway Press (FP 027)

The arrival of a new Andrew Chalk album is always a cause for celebration. Following 'A Light at the Edge of the World' (a single piece), the sequel, out on his Faraway Press imprint, finds a new collection of 19 pieces sequenced in story-like chapter and verse from memories and melodies of a nostalgic past. Played more in thoughtful focus and with a lyrical narrative. In recent years, Chalk's recordings have reconfigured away from the static drama of high minimalism and into collections of miniatures - intimate, languid, sometimes haunted, always lovely snatches of sonic ephemera that could be pieced together as a koan of lost memory and forgotten landscape. An evanescent echo and artfully accreted drone trickle throughout the album, all of which are swimming in illumined, golden baths of hallowed light. The album closes with a solstice in midwinter.

WEB FLAC (tracks) - 406 MB | MP3 CBR 320 kbps (LAME 3.93) - 172 MB | Front cover
Genre: Ambient, Downtempo | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Leftfield Records

It’s a collection of live recordings; remasters of previously released material, and a few other nice things.
Carbon Based Lifeforms (CBL) are Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad, both born in 1976 and based in Göteborg, south-west Sweden. They met at the tender age of 15 and are still, amazingly, working happily together. It is hard to categorise CBL's music but the best description might be that of a groundbreaking mixture of acid, techno and house music. The term 'acid/ambient' has also been coined; perhaps a respectful nod to the great pioneer Brian Eno? CBL signed with the celebrated Lyon-based Ultimae label in 2002 and have since released two full-length albums (Hydroponic Garden in 2003, and World of Sleepers in 2006). Both albums have been extraordinarily well received by connoisseurs within the ambient scene…

Australia's All India Radio is an Ambient Electronic/Post-Rock project helmed by songwriter/producer Martin Kennedy whose sound straddles the line between '60s psychedelia, '70s Krautrock, and contemporary styles from downtempo to chillgaze. All India Radio first gained attention issuing a series of evocative, often cinematic recordings in the 2000s, including The Inevitable, Permanent Evolutions, and The Silent Surf. All India Radio's music has been used on TV shows like CSI: Miami, One Tree Hill, The Lying Game, and Emmerdale, among others. Kennedy has also played with the Church's singer Steve Kilbey for a series albums, including 2014's sci-fi soundtrack The Rare Earth and 2017's Glow and Fade.

Following a busy recording year in 2009, Scott Herren focused on collaborative projects in 2010, flexing his production muscles via dates, remixes, or cameos with everyone from Zach Hill to Oneohtrix Point Never to TV on the Radio. The Only She Chapters continues the familial feeling, with a wealth of features for female vocalists, which on the surface makes this Prefuse 73 record sound more like it came from Herren’s Savath & Savalas project. Still, it shows his production style has changed slightly. First, there’s little to no evidence of a hip-hop influence, or even electro for that matter…

Just their third missive in the past seven years, The Campfire Headphase displays Boards of Canada changing few of their methods but more of their sounds. The key difference between this record and its predecessors is the advent of unprocessed, recognizable guitars (a small heresy to portions of their fanbase). Although it smacks of a gimmick, and does occasionally remove the mysticism from their productions, it marks a good addition to their palette. Still in effect - and still never equaled anywhere else - is the pair's ability to make electronic music that not only evokes a much earlier period in music, but sounds as though it was last issued decades in the past as well…

On Unleft, Keith Kenniff collects previously unreleased Helios material recorded between 2000 and 2009, sequencing the resultant tracks as a self-contained album. The resultant fifty minutes plays out as a wonderfully varied sequence that focusses on melodically resonant electronic music. You'll hear some of the compositional techniques Kenniff has become known for at work, cutting a tuneful, glitched-up swathe through opener 'Convivium', while the crunchily filtered, slow-core beats of 'Friedel' and 'Distance' channel a hazy, opiated quality. Taking this a little further, the creaking deep bass and beautiful electronic post-rock of 'Cross The Ocean' is touched by the influence of Boards Of Canada, something that could also be said of the downtempo, beat-heavy ambience of 'Bounce Dive'…
