Lagoon is an electronic music classic by Nik Tyndall. On the Hearts of Space label, it is his first album with widespread distribution in the U.S. This space music is cozy and inviting. There are no hard edges. The gentle flow of the soundscape conjures imagery of a tropical paradise. The organic atmospheres caress listeners like a warm ocean breeze.
Like Tyndall's other works, Lagoon is rich with layers of organic sound that evoke water, windchimes, gongs, and gamelan to create the sensation of a floating paradise. The seven tracks flow smoothly into one another, creating a soothing tropical paradise.

Film Music will be released on November 13 via UMC. Eno’s work in film, television, and documentary scores and soundtracks spans five decades. He has crafted complete scores for over 20 films. Spiritchaser is the seventh studio album by Dead Can Dance, and the last before Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard went their separate ways. It expands on its exploration of world music, and like Into the Labyrinth, was recorded at Quivvy Church, Perry's personal studio in Ireland. The album was dedicated to Lisa Gerrard's deceased brother, Mark Gerrard. The track "Indus" contains a melody that is very similar to that of "Within You Without You", a Beatles song that George Harrison wrote and recorded with Indian musicians in 1967. Although not deliberate, Perry and Gerrard were asked to contact Harrison for his permission to use it; he granted it, but the record company insisted that they give him partial songwriting credit on "Indus".

Without any effort Andrzej Slawinski was signed to an artist contract to IC. In 1990 first CD "Brain Machine" was released. At the same time his own label was selling thousands of copies of the tapes. From time to time there were joint projects with other musicians. As a Hemi-Sync specialist in Europe Andrzej received many invitations to perform seminars. A small biofeedback lab was built in studio with EEG devices and mind machines.

Perry and Gerrard continued to experiment and improve with The Serpent's Egg, as much a leap forward as Spleen and Ideal was some years previously. As with that album, The Serpent's Egg was heralded by an astounding first track, "The Host of Seraphim." Its use in films some years later was no surprise in the slightest – one can imagine the potential range of epic images the song could call up – but on its own it's so jaw-droppingly good that almost the only reaction is sheer awe. Beginning with a soft organ drone and buried, echoed percussion, Gerrard then takes flight with a seemingly wordless invocation of power and worship – her vocal control and multi-octave range, especially towards the end, has to be heard to be believed. Nothing else achieves such heights, but everything gets pretty darn close, a deserved testament to the band's conceptual reach and abilities.

Cassandra Jenkins is quite simply one of the best songwriter-storytellerscurrently making music. Hers is a specific and singular corner of the Great AmericanSongwriters, artists like David Berman, Adrianne Lenker, Jeff Tweedy and Sufjan Stevens. They're artists connected by a sense of immediacy, not just in the writing - which is precise, evocative, brutal at times, pitch-back funny right when you need it - but by their delivery, bythe way they sing with an immersive, total belief that carries you through their songs. Theseare the artists and songs that sneak up and really live with us forever, and on My Light, MyDestroyer, Jenkins joins their ranks. What's most remarkable about My Light, My Destroyer is it captures anartist at an exciting leap in her evolution.

With this amazing album, Dead Can Dance fully took the plunge into the heady mix of musical traditions that would come to define its sound and style for the remainder of its career. The straightforward goth affectations are exchanged for a sonic palette and range of imagination. Calling it "haunting" and "atmospheric" barely scratches even the initial surface of the album's power. The common identification of the duo with a consciously medieval European sound starts here – quite understandable, when one considers the mystic titles of songs, references to Latin, choirs, and other touches that make the album sound like it was recorded in an immense cathedral.

Hotel rarely shows, in any shape or form, traceable inspiration from the new wave and post-punk era Moby advertised as being in full effect. More surprising is that apart from the lovely ambient instrumentals that open and close it, the album is all valley and no peaks, suggesting that the shelving of his sampling device was the worst creative move he could've made. The first half contains simple - as in basic and/or emaciated, so we're talking poor - modern rock songs that tend to be anthemic and soul-searching in nature. Lead single "Beautiful" is one exception, a tongue-in-cheek thing Moby has imagined being sung by vacant celebrity couples. No matter how affable, vegan, liberal, bespectacled, or vertically challenged he is, the real irony is that a millionaire and former love interest of Natalie Portman has made a song of this kind (see also: Aerosmith's "Eat the Rich")…

As a designer of sound units and amplifiers in the '70s, this German artist (real name is Jurgen Krehan) made a natural progression into composing for electronic instruments at the end of the decade when he formed the avant-garde duo Tycoon with Rudolf Lager. In the mid-'80s, he struck out on his own and released a number of recordings on the German Sky label, in addition to composing soundtracks for film and television. His style combines primarily lush environmental soundscapes with the delicate percussive textures of bamboo, gongs, and windchimes.

This is a live album made up of highlights from various concerts held at a planetarium in Erkrath, Germany. Recording either as Cosmic Hoffmann or Mind Over Matter, Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock recordings always are a great combination of retro Krautrock analog heaven and mind-expanding space music. As the title suggests, this is music of the more floating, spacey variety. Each track runs about ten minutes, allowing just enough time for it to germinate before the next one ensues. The light guitar echoes in A Night in Mogul's Garden perfectly augment the floating synthesizers and distant wailing wordless vocals. Soft percussion appears as layers develop. This is so peaceful and calm. Delicate, bright sequencing carries Mello(w) Kathmandu along, as well as light tribal percussion, flute, and more fine guitar playing…

This is another chapter of the ambient-trance voyages that the duo, Radoslaw 'Raiden' Kochman and Daniel 'Dan' Lulkowski, has been serving us since 2006. Sundial Aeon invited artists such as Brian Dougans - YAGE/The Future Sound Of London and vocalist Elvya Dulcimer to create a new album. You will hear the result of the cooperation in the form of a remix of the track Revelation In Delight performed by YAGE/FSOL and vocals by Elvya Dulcimer on the track Celadon Sky - Ambient Version. With full confidence, the new album by Sundial Aeon Aquamorphosis will open to you new horizons of ambient-trance, deep, calming, flowing chill-out emotions.

Moby's most unified and understated album, and all the better for it, Wait for Me is a morose set of elegantly bleary material, quite a shift from the hedonistic club tracks of Last Night. Dominated by instrumentals, "Shot in the Back of the Head" is the most evocative of the bunch, seemingly pulled from an unreleased David Lynch film scored by the Afghan Whigs circa Gentlemen - a lament from a dustbowl, full of mournful slide guitar and dewy electric piano. Other than "Mistake" - a glum neo-post-punk rave-up that, despite its cathartic release, remains downcast - Moby leaves the vocals to a series of women (neighborhood chums, apparently) who each contribute to one song. The smoky 3-a.m. gospel whispers from throwback soul singer Leela James on "Walk with Me" steal the show.

Two CD collection. The follow-up to Light In The Attic's game-changing I Am The Center box set is finally here. Three years in the making, The Microcosm: Visionary Music Of Continental Europe, 1970-1986 is the first major overview of key works from cosmically-taped in artists needing little introduction - Vangelis, Ash Ra Tempel, and Popol Vuh - and and unknown masterpieces by criminally overlooked heroes like Bernard Xolotl, Robert Julian Horky and Enno Velthuys. Whereas I Am The Center called for a reconsideration of an entire maligned genre, The Microcosm requests nothing more than an open mind to consider this ambient, new age, neuzeit, prog, krautrock, cosmic, holistic stuff, whatever one calls it as a pulsating movement unto itself, a mirror refracting the American new age scene in unexpected, electrifying ways, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt the universality of the timeless quest to express "the Ineffable" through music. Drawing from major label budgets and homemade cassette distributed circumstances alike, The Microcosm demonstrates a depth of peace profound to behold, and clearly expands the boundaries. Lovingly conceived and lavishly presented by producer Douglas McGowan (Yoga Records) and liner notes contributor Jason Patrick Woodbury (Pitchfork, Aquarium Drunkard), The Microcosm features stunning cover paintings by Étienne Trouvelot, and labels by Finnish savant Aleksanda Ionowa.
