Kick-off track "Canciones de Amor" is a sun-kissed ode to love's complexities, and first single "Me Voy" rides a nostalgic accordion groove. The luxuriously lazy title track features a galloping groove and easy choruses that are downright Beatles-esque in their poppiness. "Primer Dia" is a questionable moment, with its uneasy mix of synthesized grooves and rap breaks, but for the most part, Limon y Sal offers just the right mix of radio-ready shimmer and rock edges, thanks in part to production work from Coti Sorokin and Cachorro Lopez. It only gets better as you dig deeper: the racing chrouses of "A Donde Sea"; the regional kick of "No Sere"; or the retro club vibe of "Eres Para Mi." Prime, intelligent pop at its best–and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Safe Trip Home is the warm, moving, and wonderfully musical third album from Dido, the London-born singer-songwriter with the cracked-crystal voice. "Dido bares her heart in her music in a way that she doesn't in any other public domain," says Rollo (Dido's brother)[…]it all goes from Dido to the listener in the most straightforward, emotionally honest way." The album, stays to her tried and tested formula of minimalism, ennui and trademark pathos - beginning with the opening emptiness of "Don't Believe In Love", which is one of the songs she performs on this radio recording made a few days ago, and also is the video clip's song.

Goldfrapp is a British electronic music group known for their visual theatrics and contribution to the popularization of electronic dance music. The band was formed in 1999 in London, England, and consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals/synthesizer) and Will Gregory (synthesizer). Their most recent album, Seventh Tree, was released in 2008. The album's lead single, "A&E", reached number ten in the UK. The single received positive reviews from critics, who found it to be "a beautifully paced ballad" and "lush, folky and organic".

Björk was only 11 years old when she released this, her very first album. The album went Platinum in Iceland and she was offered the chance to do a second album, but she turned it down. With the money she earned she bought herself a piano and started composing new songs of her own. This album was only released in limited edition and is very sought-after by collectors and traders.

A violin begins to play off stage and the voice of old Bianca arrives, carried by sounds of sea and broken shells. The melodies take both the rhymes of childhood and old blues or jazz titles of the southern United States. CocoRosie brings in their intimacy in their world of sweetness and melancholy, magic and pain, as if they offered us their diary written for four hands. The violinist sometimes sings with them and her voice makes the interpretation of “Beautiful Boys” superb.

Allison and Catherine Pierce are from Alabama, they're sisters and they're rather attractive. Together they make some pretty fine, artsy pop with provocative lyrics vaguely in the vein of Regina Spektor. Thirteen Tales is the first album the duo has made with their own say-so. There's a dramatic flair to their country-inflected orchestral New Wave folk-pop. With its doubled-up and contemporary-sounding pop vocal style, the macabre "Secrets" sounds like the soundtrack to a Tim Burton movie with words written by Dame Darcy, as sung by half the members of the Pussycat Dolls. But this is definitely a super entertaining duo, one to watch out for. –Mike McGonigal

Perhaps it's inevitable that KT Tunstall's Eye to theTelescope will draw initial comparisons to Dido, since they're both female adult alternative singer/songwriters who bear a certain similarity in their vocal timbres. But as Tunstall's debut starts to unfold, those superficial connections fall away, as she reveals herself to be a soulful vocalist, a restless musician, and a serious songwriter.
