Snorri Sturluson, "The Uppsala Edda: DG 11 4to"
English | 2012 | ISBN: 0903521857 | 462 pages | PDF | 8.7 MB

The Prose Edda is probably not what you think it is, yes, it was written by Snorri Sturluson, but the translations you read are often compiled from at least four differing facilimies of the original manuscript as the original manuscript has been lost in time. These four key manuscripts, each missing parts that other's have, and some older and copies of copies. That is one of the main reasons why there are different versions of the Prose Edda.

So this book is a translation by Faulkes of one of those manuscripts, DG 11 4to, it contains the Old Norse, as well as the translation, and is an excellent addition to anyone who wants to study Snorri's work, and the Prose Edda.
