The Tuesdays was a Norwegian rock group formed in 1990. They were similar in sound to The Bangles, but had a slightly more mature feel—but still catchy pop tunes. They formed in 1990 as No Limits in Larvik, Norway. They released an album in 1994 in Norway and Japan, called, When You're A Tuesday Girl under the name The Tuesday Girls. After reconfiguring to include the singer Laila Samuelsen and drummer Linda Gustafsson, they changed their name to The Tuesdays and signed with Arista in 1997. Their self-titled album had some commercial success, especially the single, "It's Up To You". Their follow-up album was rejected by Arista, and the group split up. Former lead singer Laila Samuelsen released a solo album in 2002, and is still involved in writing music.

Pop | VIDEO: Xvid 720X576 30.000 fps | AUDIO: Mp3 48000Hz stereo 192Kbps | 145 mb | Length: 00.07.13 | RS

"We Are the World" is a 1985 song and charity single recorded by the supergroup USA for Africa. It was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, and co-produced by Quincy Jones and Michael Omartian for the album We Are the World. Following Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?" project in the UK, an idea for the creation of an American benefit single for African famine relief came from activist Harry Belafonte, who, along with fundraiser Ken Kragen, was instrumental in bringing the vision to reality. Several musicians were contacted by the pair, before Jackson and Richie were assigned the task of writing the song. Following several months of working together, the duo completed the writing of "We Are the World" one night before the song's first recording session, in early 1985. The last recording session for the song was held on January 28, 1985. The historic event brought together some of the most famous artists in the music industry at the time.

EAC Rip | Flac, Cue, LOG | Covers included | 446 Mb
Genre: Pop Rock | Year: 1995 | RS

'LP' is the third album from The Rembrandts' and is undoubtedly their best known work, thanks to it's release at the height of Friends Mania in 1995. The album seems unfairly shunned by the casual lister as a collection of lacklustre companions to the pop hit 'I'll Be There For You' (the theme song from Friends) or scorned by Rembrandts fans for its association with the television show. In reality, however, it's simply a well written and beautifully performed guitar album with the TV single tacked on the end. Make no mistake; the end of 'LP' is the gorgeous 'The Other Side of Night'. The addition of 'I'll Be There For You' is simply there to pull the Friends crowd.

If you're looking for something a little subdued and introspective that swings between 'rockin good' and 'melancholic' effortlessly, then LP might be for you. The slower songs are the highlights, particularly 'End of the Beginning', 'Don't Hide Your Love', 'Drowning In Your Tears' and 'The Other Side of Night' but there's something for everyone with the faster, sometimes grungier tracks like 'This House is Not a Home', 'Lovin Me Insane' and the fantastic 'Easy to Forget'.

Ultimately the strength of LP is The 'Brandts ability to craft magnificent lyrics and weave them with great guitar and smooth harmonies. Compared to their other albums, LP has its roots more in commercial rock than traditional acoustic which may explain why a lot of the band's fans disliked it. It's still my personal favourite from the boys, the flow of the tracks is brilliant and overall the album has aged very well. LP is definitely one of my favourite albums and very worthy of anyone's time.

Clouseau, a Belgian band, started as a bunch of friends back in 1984. Only Karel Theys, the bass-player, had some previous experience in a band with The Employees. 1987 sees them coming out of the garage for the first time : they play Marktrock in Leuven en get a record deal for their first single "Brandweer". In 1991, the Benelux is getting too small for the group so they (or at least the record company) decide to try to storm the European market.
This time they are appointed to participating for Belgium in the Eurovisionsongcontest (where the finish very low with "Geef het op", despite the very high hopes Flanders was posing in them). They record a CD in English called "Close Encounters" (mainly consisting of adaptations of their own Dutch songs) of which they sell 200.000 copies.

Glenn Medeiros - Not Me (1988)

Genre: Pop/Soul | RS

This is Glenn's second album, released in 1988 when he was only 18 (actually, this one in particular is a Japanese import). It was his breakthrough album in many parts of the world and has some really fine pop songs. Of course, there are some of his biggest hits there such as "Long and lasting love", "Love always finds a reason" (the version here is the English version sung with Elsa), "Never get enough of you", and a wonderful re-recorded (and more powerful) "Nothing's gonna change my love for you", but I always thought "Someday love" and "Not me" where the real classics on the album.
No, this is not Glenn's best album as of yet (if you want to know what the guy is REALLY all about, you should check out "It's alright to love" (1993) or his latest album, "Captured" (1999)), but it was a milestone in his career.
I can tell you that Glenn (now 31) has become a very talented singer/songwriter, and has one of the best male voices around. He can do what George Michael can (tho his work is not as known as George's): he's gifted both with his voice as well as with his mind (writing and composing), and if you want to hear an artist who puts his heart and soul into his music, you'll find the right answer in Glenn Medeiros.
My two favourite artists? Glenn Medeiros and George Michael. Da Glennster and Yog. At least THEY know how to make real music!

Whitney Elizabeth Houston (born August 9, 1963) is an American recording artist, actress, and former fashion model. A relative to several prominent soul singers, including her mother Cissy Houston, cousins Dee Dee and Dionne Warwick, and godmother Aretha Franklin, Houston began singing at her New Jersey church as a member of a junior gospel choir at age eleven. After she began performing alongside her mother at night clubs in the New York City area, she was discovered by Arista Records label head Clive Davis. Houston released her debut album Whitney Houston in 1985, which became the best-selling debut album by a female artist. Her second studio album Whitney (1987) became the first album by a female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Houston's crossover appeal on the popular music charts as well as her prominence on MTV enabled several African-American women to follow in her success.
Following her marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown, Houston appeared in her first starring role in the feature film The Bodyguard in 1992. The film's original soundtrack won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year, and became the world's best-selling soundtrack. Its lead single, "I Will Always Love You", became one of the best-selling singles in music history.Houston continued to star in feature films and contributed to soundtracks including Waiting to Exhale (1995) and The Preacher's Wife (1996).After the release of her fourth studio album My Love Is Your Love (1998), she renewed her recording contract with Arista Records in 2001 for a historic $100 million dollars. She subsequently released her fifth studio album, Just Whitney the following year. Amidst widespread media coverage of personal and professional turmoil, Houston's marriage to Brown ended in 2006.
Houston is one of the world's best-selling music artists, having sold over 140 million albums and 50 million singles, worldwide. She is ranked as the fourth best-selling female artist in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America, with 54 million certified albums. Known as "The Voice" for her "powerful, penetrating pop-gospel" vocals, she has been listed by Rolling Stone magazine as one of The 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. Houston has been cited as an influence among numerous contemporary R&B and pop music artists.
