Cities of the World depicts the ambiance, variety, unspoiled majesty and splendor of fourteen of the world's most unique cities. These captivating destinations have all been singled out to create a culture full of history.

Paris is the 'city of light', the 'city of love' the 'capital of fashion'. The bank of the Seine, theMontmartre and the Quartier Latin tell us of artists: about Dumas, Zola, and Victor Hugo whodepicted the city in unforgettable literary pieces and about painters who did the same oncanvas. On moonlit nights, and foggy autumn mornings the shadows of Modigliani, Renoir andToulouse-Lautrec appear. Every corner is famous from a French movie, and we wait for JeanGabin and Belmondo to appear on the next street. The streets and squares remind us of theSun King, the 'man in the iron mask' and Napoleon. In the cafes old chansons are sung on thevoice of Edith Piaf and Yves Montand. The wheel of the Moulin Rouge is unstoppable, while inthe halls of the Louvre Leonardo's Mona Lisa is smiling enigmatically, on the Pont Neuf loversare meeting, below the Grand Arche the traffic never slows down, and the iron bars of theEiffel Tower are looming above the Notre Dame and the Sacre Coeur…
