If you regard the horror genre as a bit of a joke, this Canadian parody of the idiom, blending neo-gothic zombie elements with typical medical suds, could be fun.
Patsy is a hospital nurse who fantasises about seducing handsome Dr Dox and luring him away from his current squeeze (and her nemesis), Goodie. Patsy's pathetic dream is given wings when she is bitten by a zombified patient and, in a twinkling, develops a magnificent bosom, fabulous Elle Macpherson legs and the showbiz zing of Tamsin Carroll. Her sudden ability to belt out a show-stopper with all the vamp and raunch of Sophie Tucker soon has Dr Dox weak at the knees.
But what can she do to suppress the attendant vampirical cravings that the zombie bite has also given her?

Die schüchterne Krankenschwester Patsy steht auf den heißen Dr. Dox, doch der hat keine Augen für das Mauerblümchen und schenkt sein Herz lieber einer attraktiveren Kollegin. Da wird ein Patient eingeliefert, dem eine Axt aus der Schädeldecke ragt. Weil er tot ist und trotzdem spricht und herum läuft, behält man ihn zur Beobachtung, und Patsy soll ihn pflegen. So kommt es, wie es kommen muss: Der Tote infiziert Patsy, Patsy wird zum sexy Zombie - und zum ersten mal interessieren sich Männer für sie.
Bei den Darstellern handelt es sich überwiegend um unbekannte Gesichter. Der in schwarz/weiß gehaltene Film ist eine gelungene Mischung aus Horror, Komödie und Soap-Opera. Durch die Optik und die bewusst überspitzt dargestellten Szenen erhält der Film einen ganz besonderen Touch, der vor allen Dingen Fans von B-Movies begeistern dürfte.
