Kleinganove John Muller wurde gerade erst aus dem Gefängnis entlassen und plant bereits seinen neuesten Coup: Er will ein illegales Spielcasino ausrauben, das von der Mafia betrieben wird. Der Diebstahl schlägt fehl - Muller flieht. Doch die Mobster wissen genau, wer hinter ihrem Geld her war und machen Jagd auf ihn. Aber das Glück ist auf Mullers Seite: Als er dem Arzt Dr. Bartok begegnet, der ihm fast bis auf das Haar gleicht, wittert Muller eine Chance. Der einzige Unterschied: Bartoks Gesicht wird von einer großen Narbe entstellt.

Only just released from jail, petty crook John Muller is already planning his next deal: he wants to rob a gambling house operated by the mafia. The steal fails miserably - Muller needs to escape. But the mobsters know exactly who had been after their money and pursue him.
But lady luck is on Muller's side: after meeting Dr. Bartok, a doctor (MD), who almost is a dead ringer for him, Muller sniffs a chance. The only difference visible: Dr. Barton's face is blemished by a big scar.
