Note: Like most of Lodewijk Crijns' made-for-TV works, this film seems to have never been released on DVD/Blu-ray or outside the Netherlands. More importantly, this film has never been released with English subtitles

Crijns is the director of controversial yet fairly popular Dutch satires and cult films like Jezus is een Palestijn AKA Jesus Is a Palestinian (1999), Lap Rouge (1997) and Alleen maar nette mensen AKA Only for decent people (2012). Naturally, Loverboy (2003) is also somewhat politically incorrect.

Synopsis: MTV-worshiping seventeen year old Denise, who is one of the only white people from the poor part of a Dutch city, falls in love with the charming young Arab man Michael who promises her a life she can only imagine. But Michael is a so-called "loverboy" who has a secret agenda and manipulates her into prostitution making her believe that's the only way to continue their expensive lives together.
