Lelian Chew is a wedding planner to the super-rich in the East Asia. With Asia now home to more billionaires than the USA or Europe, this film goes inside a world of unimaginable wealth and luxury. Lelian takes on just ten weddings a year at an average cost of a million dollars. For her clients, bespoke Cartier jewellery inspired by Meghan Markle, hundreds of thousands of dollars of flowers and multiple designer wedding dresses are nothing out of the ordinary. But Lelian’s job is also to navigate the clash between age-old Chinese marriage customs and the desires of the young and newly wealthy, often with outlandish solutions - multiple weddings are becoming the norm for the Chinese super-rich.
Travelling from Hong Kong to Singapore, Shanghai, Bali and Italy, Lelian opens the door to her normally closed and extremely discreet world.
