Quelli che una volta erano i "ragazzi di vita", negli anni '90 sembrano appartenere, anche se nella periferia più disperata, a un mondo che ruota intorno all'edonismo. Un mondo dove soldi, macchine potenti, locali notturni, droghe sintetiche e cocaina "girano facili", nel quale Vittorio e Cesare, poco più che ventenni, agiscono alla ricerca della loro affermazione. L'iniziazione all'esistenza per loro ha un costo altissimo e Vittorio, per salvarsi, prende le distanze da Cesare, che invece sprofonda inesorabilmente. Il legame che li unisce è così forte che Vittorio non abbandonerà mai veramente il suo amico, sperando sempre di poter guardare al futuro con occhi nuovi.
