Santa Claus (1985)

The first half of this film, set hundreds of years ago, shows how the old man who eventually became Santa Claus was given immortality and chosen to deliver toys to all the children of the world. The second half moves into the modern era, in which Patch, the inventing elf, strikes out on his own and falls in with an evil toy manufacturer who wants to corner the market and eliminate Santa Claus.

Das Weihnachtsgeschaft ist verdammt hart. Das wei? niemand besser als der Weihnachtsmann. Zur Erleichterung fuhrt sein erfindungsreicher Helfer und Kobold Patch in der Geschenkfabrik das Flie?band ein. Zwar lauft die Produktion schneller, doch leidet die Qualitat. Patch wird verbannt und gerat unter die Fittiche des skrupellosen B.Z. Der mochte dem Weihnachtsmann in der Spielzeugproduktion Konkurrenz machen und uberschwemmt die Welt mit Hilfe des naiven Patch mit billigem und gefahrlichem Spielzeug.
