This documentary details the case that the 1989 invasion of Panama by the US was motivated not by the need to protect American soldiers, restore democracy or even capture Noriega. It was to force Panama to submit the will of the United States after Noriega had exhausted his usefulness.
This episode of history is rarely cited, and so this documentary stands as an important account of what took place. This film shows how the U.S. attacked Panama and killed 3 or 4 thousand people in an invasion that the rest of the world was against.
The excuse given was to get the drug lord, General Noriega, who had been on the CIA's payroll for 20 years. We see not only the devastation done to poor cities in Panama, but also how US media was complicit in the way all of this was presented to the American public.
