In the spring of 1943, one of the largest air battles of the Second World War unfolded in the sky over Kuban. To eliminate the threat from the rear, the Germans made massive airlines. They participated in more than 500 aircraft. But the Soviet aviation focused here to 900 cars. The confrontation lasted over two months. The struggle for dominance in the air was cruel. And the Soviet fighters of a new generation played the main role in it.
Весной 1943 года в небе над Кубанью развернулось одно из крупнейших воздушных сражений Второй Мировой войны. Для ликвидации угрозы с тыла немцы предприняли массированные авианалеты. В них участвовало более 500 самолетов. Но и советская авиация сосредоточила здесь до 900 машин. Противостояние длилось свыше двух месяцев. Борьба за господство в воздухе была жестокой. И в ней главную роль сыграли советские истребители нового поколения.
