This unusual Western combines action with eerie mystery when Pete Carver, the sole survivor of a gang of robbers slain after a heist, returns to the scene of the crime years later to find the loot, only to discover that a boom town has arisen there. Pete becomes involved with newspaper publisher Elizabeth and, aided by Wells Fargo agent Dobbs, searches the gang's cave hideout for the buried gold.
