Parce que sa mere lui préfère son chien, une jeune femme imagine que l'animal meurt. Elle part alors l'enterrer toute seule une nuit à Paris. C'est là qu'elle rencontre un homme qui lui explique qu'un chien mort vaut beaucoup d'argent. C'est ainsi qu'ils tentent de le vendre successivement à un restaurant chinois, à un fourreur et bien d'autres encore. A chaque fois, la jeune femme raconte une histoire drôle, une histoire de chien. Devant leur échec, la jeune femme décide d'enterrer le chien et l'homme se demande si la jeune femme n'a pas un probleme avec un chien.
(She's a normal enough young woman but her mother always preferred the dog to her. One day she imagines her mother's dog dies. So she heads into Paris at night to bury it on her own. But she meets a young man ready to help her who explains that a dead dog is worth a lot of money. Do you follow me? As for the man, he wonders whether the young woman might have a problem with dogs…)
