L'Ultimo dei Teamplari (2011)

Europa XIV secolo. Un cavaliere viene incaricato di scortare una ragazza accusata di stregoneria, fino ad un monastero dove verrà sottoposta ad un esorcismo e processata. Durante il viaggio la ragazza si rivela come il demonio in persona.
Behmen e Felson sono due crociati stanchi: amici e compagni d'armi da oltre dieci anni, protagonisti di innumerevoli e sanguinose campagne militari contro gli infedeli, i due uomini non ne possono più di uccidere in nome di Dio. Behmen, in particolare, si è reso conto definitivamente del male delle sue azioni durante l'ultimo attacco di cui è stato protagonista, che lo ha portato a uccidere una donna innocente. I due decidono così di disertare, e nel loro peregrinare lontano dalla guerra si imbattono in un villaggio devastato dalla peste. Qui, vengono riconosciuti e viene offerto loro un patto: saranno sollevati dall'accusa di diserzione se accetteranno di portare in un monastero una ragazza accusata di stregoneria, che si ritiene essere responsabile della pestilenza in corso.

A 14th century Crusader returns to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence. A priest, a grieving knight, a disgraced itinerant and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl. When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardises the knight's pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.
