Radu Mihaileanu realizza un film a metà tra la favola e l'operetta morale.
Non sono il ritmo, il colore o i temi, a mancare a La sorgente dell'amore. È uno sguardo che fosse realmente curioso, critico, pronto ad abbracciare la problematicità anche mantenendo toni lievi. Uno sguardo che fosse meno ovvio e folkloristico. (federico gironi)
