Il primo episodio, intitolato Adelina è stato scritto da Eduardo De Filippo. La vicenda, realmente accaduta, ambientata a Napoli nel quartiere di Forcella, è quella di una venditrice abusiva di sigarette, Adelina Sbaratti nel film, che, per non essere arrestata, ricorre ad una lunga serie di maternità. Il carcere sarà evitato fino a quando il marito Carmine non cederà sessualmente a tutta questa lunga serie di maternità. L'ispirazione nasce dalla storia vera della contrabbandiera napoletana Concetta Muccardi, che per non andare in carcere rimase incinta 19 volte, 7 delle quali finita con la nascita di figli. Il terzo episodio, intitolato Mara, è stato scritto da Cesare Zavattini e ci propone una splendida squillo che abita a Roma accanto alla terrazza di un seminarista che si invaghisce di lei. Mara sta al gioco ma si accorge di aver fatto un errore quando il seminarista minaccerà di abbandonare gli studi per provare fino in fondo le gioie della vita secolare. L'episodio è reso celebre dalla scena cult dello spogliarello di Mara (Sophia Loren), accompagnato dalle note di Abat-jour (Salomé), successo di Henry Wright, sotto gli occhi di un famelico Mastroianni, nei panni di un cliente bolognese. La indimenticabile scena sarà riproposta in Prêt-à-Porter di Robert Altman trent'anni dopo, in chiave ironica, da una Loren sempre affascinante e da un Mastroianni che stavolta finisce per addormentarsi. English Synopsis
Three different stories of Italian social mores are presented. In "Adelina", unemployed Carmine Sbaratti and his wife Adelina Sbaratti survive through Adelina selling black market cigarettes on the street. They are unable to pay for the furniture they bought (which is under Adelina's name), but are able to avoid the bailiff when he comes for the money or to repossess. They come up with a longer term solution to avoid Adelina being prosecuted for non-payment, but that solution has a profound effect on the family, especially Carmine. In "Anna", Anna Molteni, the spoiled wife of a successful businessman, and an artist named Renzo are on the cusp of an affair. But a car accident shows both Anna and Renzo if an affair with each other is really what they want. In "Mara", Mara is a prostitute who works out of her apartment. She befriends Umberto, a young man visiting his grandparents who live in the adjacent apartment, the balconies of the two apartments which are adjoined. Umberto, a seminary student, seems to be attracted to Mara as a woman without really knowing what she does. Umberto's grandmother, who knows what Mara does, believes Umberto's seeming romantic infatuation with Mara will be his downfall. Spanish Synopsis
La primera cuenta cómo una vendedora de cigarrillos logra esquivar una multa durante años valiéndose de un subterfugio legal: las leyes italianas no permiten poner presa por un delito menor a una mujer embarazada o en período post-parto. Así que cada año Adelina trae un nuevo “ragazzo” al mundo, hasta que su marido queda agotado y no puede cumplirle, generando un divertido conflicto en la pareja.
El segundo episodio relata el conflicto de una rica mujer de sociedad y su pasión por un interesante periodista de clase media. Al final, la diferencia de clases y la frivolidad de la dama se imponen con un ruptura cómica, como si De Sica se hubiera arrepentido del tono con el que comenzó esta historia en particular.
El último relato nos trae un personaje más estereotipado, la típica prostituta de “corazón de oro” que realiza su buena acción del día al ayudar a su moralista vecina a que su nieto siga en el seminario.

Recovery Volumes (.rev)
Recovery volumes or .rev files are special files which can be created by WinRAR/RAR and allow you to reconstruct missing and damaged files in a volume set. They can
only be used with multi-volume archives.
This feature may be useful for backups or, for example, when you post a multivolume archive to a newsgroup and some of the subscribers did not receive some files. Reposting recovery volumes instead of usual volumes may reduce the total number of files to repost.
Each recovery volume is able to reconstruct one missing RAR volume. For example, if you have 30 volumes and 3 recovery volumes, you are able to reconstruct any 3 missing volumes. If the number of .rev files is less than a number of missing volumes, reconstructing is impossible. The total number of usual and recovery volumes must not exceed 255 and the number of recovery volumes must be less than the number of RAR volumes.
WinRAR reconstructs missing and damaged volumes either when clicking on .rev file, or when using rc command or automatically, if it cannot locate the next volume and finds the required number of .rev files when unpacking.
You may use the "Recovery volumes" option in the Archive name and parameters dialog or a similar option also appears in the Protect archive command to create recovery volumes. In the command line mode you may do it with -rv switch or rv command.
Original copies of damaged volumes are renamed to *.bad before reconstruction. For example, volname.part03.rar will be renamed to volname.part03.rar.bad.
