Ce film de Philippe Kohly remplit les blancs pour dérouler les multiples fils d’une existence trop brève et très remplie, qui s’apparente à une course contre la montre. « Le temps, le temps, il me cavale au cul comme une charge de uhlans », note dans son journal celui qui, déjà à 33 ans, se sent trop vieux. Car dès l’enfance, où l’on a découvert chez lui une faiblesse cardiaque, qui en fait la proie d’un amour maternel étouffant, il se sait en sursis.
