For centuries the West has been enthralled by flamboyant blue and white ceramics from China, but was unaware that all the time the Chinese were making porcelains for themselves that were completely different - subtle monochromes for the Imperial court, beautiful objects for the scholar's table and delicate domestic wares. Ceramics expert Lars Tharp, Antiques Roadshow resident and presenter of Treasures of Chinese Porcelain, has picked his six favourite pieces representing Chinese taste. He's goes on a journey through a thousand years of Chinese history, travelling from the ancient capital of Huangzhou in the south to Beijing's Forbidden City in the north, to uncover what these six pieces tell us about Chinese emperors, scholars, workers, merchants and artists. To him, they are China in ceramic form. But can they help us to understand China today?

In the middle of the Indian subcontinent in the state of Madya Pradesh there is a national park named Kanha which is not very well known. The park was created in 1955 by special legislation and since then it has dedicated itself to preserving a variety of animal species. Many endangered species have indeed been saved here. Today Kanha is among the few most scenic and beautiful wildlife reserves in Asia. This "Tiger Country" is the ideal home for both predator and prey. Kanha is a perfect place to observe wildlife and is one of the first nine Project Tiger areas initiated in 1973. Kanha National Park is worth visiting to experience the wildlife in its purest natural habitat and also to enjoy the hospitality of the people who make visitors feel completely at home.

Fortune-teller Harry Erskine dismisses it – until one of his customers begins speaking in tongues and fatally throws herself down a flight of stairs, and Karen's surgeon attempts to cut off his own hand rather than excise her tumor. Erskine finally seeks help from another fortune teller, Amelia Crusoe, and her husband, to try to learn the cause of these supernatural events. When Karen's tumor gets larger, Dr. Snow speculates that within her tumor lives vengeful 400-year-old Indian spirit.

Dominique Montlaur owns a substantial trucking business near to Bordeaux, which she runs with the help of her boyfriend, Henri Savin. Unbeknown to Dominique, Henri has been having an affair with a young Canadian woman, Julie, who is now pregnant with his child. When Henri reveals his intention to end his relationship with Dominique, the latter retaliates with a vengeance. After a violent argument with Julie, Dominique climbs to the top of a tower and jumps to her death.
