"If you don't have your own plan, you'll damn sure be a part of someone else's." That quote kicks off the first of multiple story lines, in the crime ensemble "Bubblegum & Broken Fingers." This character-driven collage of sex, violence and survival is equal parts western, gangster and love stories. We follow the journey of a mysterious silver briefcase and witness the havoc it brings each new owner. The seemingly unrelated stories continuously collide throughout for multiple plot twists.

The movie details a town split between the wealthy South Zone gang called 'The Socials' and the poor North Zone gang called 'The Greasers'. Dallas Winston, Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade from 'The Greasers' befriend the rich Cherry Valance and Marcia at a drive-in. Later that night, a group of 'The Socs' chase and beat up Johnny and attempt to drown Ponyboy in a fountain.

Her pimp is the gruff but kindly Tomita (Toshiyuki Nishida), who has a passion for his flesh-peddling position. Amid the abuse heaped upon the pure-hearted Peony by reptilian mobsters and her own fantastically selfish father, she falls for the stout Nioyama (Masahiro Takashima), who first rapes her and then saves her from her life as a fallen woman.
