Flucht von Alcatraz (1979)

Das Ausbrecher-Drama „Die Flucht von Alcatraz”, die auf dem Roman von J. Campbell Bruce basierende Geschichte dreier Ausbrecher aus dem 1963 geschlossenen, berüchtigten Gefängnis von Alcatraz vor der Küste San Franciscos beruht auf einer wahren Begebenheit. Tatsächlich ist bis heute nicht bekannt, ob die ein Jahr vor der Schließung des Gefängnisses Ausgebrochenen ertrunken oder entkommen sind.
„Die Flucht von Alcatraz“ ist ein logisch und spannend durchkomponierter Film, dem es letztlich an nichts fehlt, gute Unterhaltung, also ein überzeugender Eastwood-Film mehr in der Sammlung seiner Fans.
