Sara was removed from her family at age 11 and placed in foster care. Now 28, she receives word that her biological mother has died. Despite her resistance to dig into her unresolved past, she attends the funeral and wants to see her older brother, Danni. They were close as kids, but Sara soon realises that neither Danni nor their father, Kjeld, can recognise her and she decides to keep quiet about her identity. Her plan is to see her brother and then quickly return to Copenhagen. The plan changes when she finds out that she has two younger sisters. Keeping watch on her father's house, Sara soon realises that what is going on there has traces back to her childhood.

Frankly, I find some of the reviews of this movie astounding - bad reviews given based on the fact that the film is too disturbing?? Well, the reality of the matter is that some very very disturbing things do happen in life. There are people who choose to do some very evil things to others, for one reason or another. Shutting your eyes to such situations does not make them go away.
I have to admit that had I not seen some people do great evil and managed to come to terms with it after a long time of being very upset, I would not have managed to watch through this movie. It is indeed profoundly disturbing to watch for someone who has not witnessed people do some truly evil things intentionally. However, for those who have, this movie makes a lot of sense, and I personally found the ending very rewarding.
10/10 and highly recommended. But definitely not one to watch unless you are prepared to put in some serious thoughts into why evil exists in this world. So if its existence disturbs you - stay away.IMDB Reviewer
