    "Writing on Water" - the first joint work of director Peter Greenaway and composer David Lang.
    Premiered on October 29, 2005 at Queen Elizabeth Hall. The work was commissioned by the insurance company Lloyd's to mark the 200 anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar.
    On the music pieces were put pieces of the "water" theme: "The Tempest" by Shakespeare, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" Koleridzha and "Moby Dick" Melville, in order to create a poetic picture of the sea with storms, shipwrecks and the miraculous escape.
    Visual line is made up of calligraphy Brodie Noenshvandera ( "Prospero's Books", "intimate diary") and Peter Greenaway's projection with multiple screens, which perfectly complement the minimalist music of David Lang.
