Great Italian pulp movie, a classic for the genre! “Roma, l’altra faccia della violenza (The other side of violence)” is a police movie where violence, theft and rape are caught in a mixture of raving unconsciousness and pure havoc. With a great appearance by Franco Citti, this film stands up for one of the best Italian pulp movie ever made. Quite similar to “Roma Violenta” and “Milano Violenta” with Maurizio Merli yet not the same cup of tea. It deserves more rudeness, rawness and pathos for the audience…

Here's an undiscovered and rare classic by the director of ROMA VIOLENTA-Marino Girolami. Fast moving and full of high speed car and motorbike chases which are some of the best i've seen. The train station robbery and car chase afterwards with the villains throwing hand grenades at Marcel Bozzufi and his police team is reason alone to see it. Highly recommended.

I'm not sure if I'd say that ROMA, L'ALTRA FACCIA DELLA VIOLENZA was quite in the same league as VIOLENT ROME (1975) or SPECIAL COP IN ACTION (1976) but it is great nonetheless. Some films deserve to be obscure but this isn't one of them. The violence is a bit harsh at times - there's a disturbing rape scene and a moment where one of the criminals' guts are hanging out after being run over by a bus. Like many Italian crime movies from the mid-seventies it has lots of little subplots which kind of interfere with the main storyline but are welcome anyway because they add a boost of adrenaline to the film.
