After the death of her father King George VI, a 25-year-old Princess Elizabeth becomes Queen. She faces scandals and rumors from the start involving her sister, Princess Margaret, as well as her own marriage to Prince Philip.

Part 4: Love or Duty
In episode four, Prince Charles is under pressure to find a wife and start a family as next in line to rule the Windsor dynasty. He meets Lady Diana and marries her in a grand public wedding, but privately the couple face serious issues.

Part 5: The Princess the Prince and the Press
In the fifth installment of the series, the marriage between Prince Charles and Princess Diana starts to fall apart as the Queen faces the greatest challenges of her reign. The world mourns alongside the royal family after the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997.

Part 6: A New Generation
The six-part series concludes with a look at the lives of Prince William, Prince Harry and the future of the crown. With the marriages of Prince William to Kate Middleton and Prince Harry to Meghan Markle, a new generation reenergizes the royal brand, but in the modern media age, the pressures of being a royal are more intense than ever.
